When you make pilots for the RC community, what is one to do when your Dad needs a pilot figure for his 1/5 scale Piper Pawnee ARF? You certainly don’t let him put a Williams Bros. figure in such a great looking model!
Time to get creative -
Ingredients:
(1) Bob Sweeney head
(1) Pappy Boyington torso
Paint Bob Sweeney head normally. Dremel away the life vest from the Boyington torso, paint grey to simulate utility coveralls. Glue Bob head on Pappy torso and voila’!-one Agri-pilot!
I was actually surprised as to how good the composite pilot looks in the Pawnee. Or is it how good the pilot makes the Pawnee look?
